WordPress For Android App Updated And It’s Everything It Should Have Always Been

wpid-Screenshot_2013-04-19-12-12-23.pngSo the WordPress elves have been working hard on a new version of their Android app, which allows bloggers to connect to to their WordPress.com or WordPress self hosted site in order to manage their content.

Previous versions of the app were frustrating to say the least, and whilst the post editor in the new version still needs some love in my opinion, it is definitely a marked improvement over previous versions.

I’m writing this post from my Nexus 7, and I must say that although I couldn’t write in this way long term, it is a great way of adding quick updates like this post whilst lounging on the sofa with the dog. :)

 New Features

wpid-Screenshot_2013-04-19-12-20-11.pngOverall the new app has received a lot of TLC in the eye candy department, the new look is very slick, and with the addition of the new sidebar for managing content, WordPress for Android is really easy to navigate.

All in all I think this is a great update to the WordPress for Android app and with the new blue admin bar at the top, and dark sidebar. Coupled with the recent MP6 UI plugin, is this a sneak peak at what the WordPress devs have in store for the new UI? I hope certainly hope so.

What do you guys think? Do you regularly blog from Android? I’d love to hear what you think about the updated WordPress for Android app…
