Ubuntu Tweak 0.7.2 Released

The newest version of the brilliant Ubuntu Tweak has been released. For those of you that don’t know, Ubuntu Tweak is an extremely powerful system utility that can be used to change many things within Ubuntu and Unity – such as panel & launcher opacity, launcher icon size, window behaviour and much more.

Last nights release of 0.7.2 doesn’t really mark much in the way of user facing changes, but there are plenty of bug fixes some of which are listed below.

  • Integration with Ubuntu’s System Settings app
  • Invalid values for resetting fonts
  • Ubuntu Tweak reported a negative number of bytes for removing old kernels
  • Ubuntu Tweak “miscellaneous” crash
  • Janitor tab is empty
  • Crash while trying to add a custom command in File Manager
  • Click on Session module generates “this module encountered an error while loading”
  • NameError in utils.walk_directories
  • Font settings are not displayed in gnome-fallback session
  • Launching desktop icons from within Ubuntu Tweak

A notable change that has taken place in this release is that you will now find an icon for Ubuntu Tweak in the Ubuntu System Settings window.

If you want to try Ubuntu Tweak, you can install it by running the following commands in terminal:

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:tualatrix/ppa
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install ubuntu-tweak
