Pressgram Launched With New iPhone App
Remember back in March when we told you about Pressgram, a new app that was being created to give blog owners an alternative to the privacy dubious Instagram? No? Well take a look here. They hit their Kickstarter goal and yesterday they finally launched.
What Is Pressgram?
As I mentioned above, Pressgram allows users to take control of their images, and not give them to the privacy ridden vortex that is Instagram. With Pressgram you can take add filters to your images and then share them straight to your WordPress blog and/or social networks. It looks like a really great system, but unfortunately for me, it’s only available for the iPhone at the moment.
What?! Only iPhone…But I Have An Android!
From the very beginning, the maker of Pressgram, John Saddington has said that he fully intends to make an Android version of Pressgram. However, when questioned about it on the launch announcement page, John mentioned that he doesn’t know how to code for Android so he will need help to deliver this.
However, Pressgram is free so I don’t really know how he is going to monetise it in order to get assistance to make an Android version. But who knows, maybe some plucky Android developer will volunteer to jump on board and help John out…let’s hope so!
If you’re one of those crazy iPhone users then you can download the Pressgram app from iTunes, you will also need the Pressgram plugin for WordPress (also free)Â in order to make it work with your site.
Being an Android user myself, I haven’t had a chance to try out Pressgram (which is a shame as I am a Kickstarter backer) so if any of you guys have tried it yet then please feel free too add your thoughts below. We would love to hear them!
