Linux Mint 13 ‘Maya’ Released
The newest iteration of the very popular Ubuntu variant, Linux Mint has been released today. Linux Mint 13, code named ‘Maya’ is based on Ubuntu 12.04 LTS and since it’s an LTS (Long Term Support) release, it will be supported for 5 years. This version of Mint comes with two desktop environments, Cinnamon and MATE. They are both designed to look more like the traditional Gnome 2 interface. At the moment I haven’t had a chance to download and ‘play around’ with Linux Mint 13, but rest assured a review will be coming very soon. Here are some screen shots of Linux Mint 13:
