How To Try Ubuntu Online

Most people reading this article will be Ubuntu (or Linux) users and therefore don’t really need to try out Ubuntu. But if you’re anything like me then you will enjoy introducing new people to the world of Open Source and Ubuntu. If you were to say to most users “download the ISO, burn it to a CD and open a live session” they wouldn’t have a clue what you were talking about and the stigma that Linux is only for geeks will continue to exist.

Well, help is at hand in the form of the Ubuntu Online Tour. This is basically a visualised Ubuntu desktop where you can see what Ubuntu has to offer and how everything works. You can even do things like type emails, but you can’t send them – obviously. I think this is a fantastic PR tool for Ubuntu and it will let any prospective new users of Ubuntu try it out extremely easily.

If you know anyone that might be interested in trying out Ubuntu then why not share the link below with them (or better yet this article Laughing).
