Five Best Free Themes For WordPress

WordPress is a great content management system (CMS) that allows you to create beautiful, dynamic websites literally at the click of a button. But having a really great theme is what will set your site apart from many others out there. There are a tonne of sites that offer premium themes, but they can cost upwards of $50 or more. So in this article I’ll be showing you five of the best free themes for WordPress.

Attitude has a very clean and simple design, yet it boasts some advanced features like being fully responsive, having numerous layouts and sporting custom post types. It’s a great theme for those that want a professional looking website for their business or product.

Shuttershot is simply beautiful. It’s a portfolio type theme that sports the ability to add amazing HD photographs that rotate as the websites background. This theme isn’t just for photographers though, you can still have pages and a blog so it really give a stand out look compared to many other themes.

Apart from being quite a mouthful to pronounce, Germaniumify is also a really great looking theme with a tonne of content included right out of the box. Boasting functionality like built-in social sharing and custom font integration, Germaniumify is certainly not to be scoffed at. It’s a great theme that has a simple, clean flow to it that makes it perfect for blogs and personal sites alike.

Nomad is an extremely clean and elegant theme that will give your blog a great look. The theme incorporates many advanced features including a jquery slider, and a dedicated options page to control the look and feel of the theme. Nomad is perfect for blogs, online magazines, and even personal sites. I especially like the extra touches in this theme, such as the spinning logo when you hover over it.

iRibbon is a theme that is very close to my heart, as it isn’t all that dissimilar to the theme that I use on my personal website. Personally I’m a huge fan of the vintage look websites, and this is a great addition to that niche. Perfect for personal sites, blogs, and even businesses, iRibbon won’t leave you disappointed. It offers a full width slider and some great artwork to go with it.
